Sailing on Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, October 2015

In October, we were very fortunate to spend a few days with our old friend Gerry Trites. He lives at Mahone Bay, south of Halifax in Nova Scotia. We were able to park the trailer on his drive and it worked really well to boondock. It was great catching up with Gerry and his good friend Margaret.

Mahone Bay has to be one of the nicest sailing venues. Gerry and Margaret support the Mahone Island Conservation Foundation which works to purchase several of the many islands in the bay. We were very fortunate to have a lovely, if brisk, day of weather. The sailing on Gerry's yacht, Zorba II, was very enjoyable indeed. We'd love to come back.
