Taman Gili

At Klungkung, the is a famous water palace, Taman Gili, built by the ruler of the Klungkung Regency in the early 20th century. This was the site of the final battle with the Dutch, in 1908. Most of the palace was destroyed in the battle. Two pavilions remain, each with amazing paintings in the roof structure. The Kertha Ghosa pavilion was where the King meted out justice.
