I had wanted to visit the new
Whitney Museum in Chelsea for quite some time. We visited on a perfect autumn day -- too nice, really, to be in the museum. But I had broken my toe, so could only walk short distances. I had to rest every so often, during the visit. The exhibition of the work of
Archibald Motley was an eye opener. I had not seen his work previously and really enjoyed seeing the work of this African American artist.
